My absolute favorite thing is finding a book I can’t put down
And reading it until really late at night
And only stopping when my eyes start to hurt and my vision gets blurry from either sleep or strain
And when I put it down I realize how tired I am and fall asleep instantly.
In the morning, I wake up, and the first thing I do is pick up the book
And I...

Okay, I’m going to finish The Fall of Arthur now that my dad is done with his obnoxiously loud phone call.
Goodnight, m’dears. You’ probably won’t be seeing much of me tomorrow, but I hope you all enjoy your long weekend (or your weekend of a normal length, depending on where you live)!

According to the Law of Conservation of Mass, matter can neither be created nor destroyed. This means that all atoms are recycled over time. Which in turn means that our own atoms are ancient as well. One’s skin could have carbon in it from a meteorite or from a trilobite thousands of years old, and your blood could contain hydrogen from earth’s original...

If I can’t have the boy, at least I can have his clothes.
They leave their sweaters, their jackets, their blue jeans draped
over my bed like petals, filling the bathtub, rising to the surface

that I don’t look eighteen-a few years older, especially
if I have a cigarette in hand; my therapist once pontificated

Ahh, Memorial Day weekend.
I am so glad I don’t have to work this weekend, as it’s the beginning of the huge influx of tourists that populate my hometown for the majority of the summer.
Instead, I’ll get to enjoy a pancake breakfast, the craft fair, and a used book sale. Definitely preferable to eight hours of scooping ice cream.

Now that I made that long post about my general indifference to TV fandoms, I realized that I haven’t watched an episode of Supernatural in about a month and I feel weirdly empty without it.
I mean, there are episodes where I sit there and think, “oh my GOD, this is the longest 42 minutes of my life,” but still. It’s kind of becoming part of my life and I miss it. Even...

I suck at TV fandoms.
Mostly, I watch shows, experience both moments of awe and moments of “eh” while watching them, and either never finish them or do so reluctantly over a long period of time. (See The Tudors, Supernatural, Game of Thrones, and (currently) Teen Wolf.)
Sometimes, I’ll watch a show, get really sucked in, have my life conquered by it for a few months, and it...
